What is Third-Party Audit and Why You Need a Checklist

Third-party management: Real-Life Experience
During our consulting services we recognized a really critical issue:
There is a misalignment between the parties contracting with third parties and those receiving the services. Hopefully, the technical team is aware of their service level commitments, but they may be unaware of other important obligations, which could lead to serious issues. In my case, for example, the supplier (third-party) was responsible for regularly updating the monitoring tool. However, the update process had been neglected for a long time, eventually resulting in a prolonged outage of monitoring. A structured approach should be in place to transfer information about third-party service commitments to the technical team and the technical team should regularly monitor if these commitments are fulfilled.
Make sure your suppliers (third parties) are effectively managed in your organization.
Please keep in mind that "supplier" and "third-party" are used interchangeable.
