Management awareness is essential for ensuring that processes, practices or initiatives receive the necessary support, resources, and attention. It enables strategic alignment, promotes a culture of accountability, mitigates risks, and drives continuous improvement. Without management engagement, initiatives are likely becoming ineffective or disconnected from business needs. We all have seen such situations in our organizations. But what is management awareness? Can we measure it ? What are the criteria? Can we identify the weaknesses and improve them?
The attached document includes a self-assessment to quality and quantify management awareness. During answering these questions you will identify improvement actions. The editable self-assessment form (in excel) contains 10 questions covering governance aspects, allowing you to assess four different levels of situations, each representing a different maturity level of management awareness.
